Historic UPL start for NEC, BUL overcomes Bright Stars
BUL FC and newly promoted NEC FC registered victories as the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League season officially kicked off. BUL FC and newly promoted NEC FC registered victories as the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League season officially kicked off.

BUL FC defeated Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba 1-0 courtesy of Lawrence Tezikya’s 25th goal.

Pascal Ngobi was named man of the match following his sublime performance on the evening.

Both Soltilo Bright Stars and Wakiso Giants will play next on 23rd September.

BUL FC will host KCCA at FUFA Technical Center Njeru and Soltilo Bright Stars will visit Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

South Sudan International Joseph Dhata was the hero as Hussein Mbalangu’s coached NEC was defeating Wasswa Bbosa men 1-0 at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara.

Dhata scored in the 49th minute of the game the earn the three points for NEC on road.

Mbarara will play Express next on Saturday 23rd at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.

NEC will be home at MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo against Eastern side Busoga United.

In the third game played SC Villa lost 2-1 to newly promoted Kitara FC at Wankulukuku

Action will resume on Sunday 17th Vipers will visit Gaddafi in Jinja, Arua Hill will host Busoga United In Adjumani, URA and UPDF will face off in Bombo as Wakiso Giants will welcome Maroons at Kabaka Kyabaggu.
