Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa have officially unveiled defender Gavin Kizito Mugweri as their latest signing.

Kizito rejoins his former club as a free agent and has been awarded a two year employment contract to fill the void left by Gift Fred.

Captain Gift Fred left the record champions to join Tanzanian side Yanga FC after the end of last season.

He (Kizito) last featured for SC Villa in 2022 before joining Egyptian side Al-Ittihad Alexandria.

His employment contract with the Egyptian side was terminated in July this year.

Mugweri joins new rectuits Charles Lwanga Neymar, goalkeeper Jeans Wokorach, Simon Mukisa, Denis Ojara, Abas Kyeyune, Peter Onzima and Elvis Ngonde.

SC Villa hosts newly promoted Kitara FC on Friday 15th September at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku in their 2023/24 UPL opener.
