FUFA Big League: NEC FC returns to winning ways with an emphatic win to move to third place

NEC FC have bounced back to winning ways with a convicing 5-1 victory against relegation threatened Soroti City at Bugolobi Coffee grounds.

Captain Marvin Kavuma scored thrice while the other two goals for came through Sulaiman Ssesaazi and Geofrey Sserunkuma.

Victory moved NEC FC to the third position tie on 40 with second placed Mbarara City FC that have played a game less.

On the same match-day, Lugazi FC defeated Adjumani TC 3-1 at Lugazi Stadium in Najjemba.

Forward Gerald Ogweti was on target twice for Lugazi FC while Umar Kayemba scored the third.

The consolation goal for Adjumani TC was scored by Basan Saffi.

Elsewhere, Jinja North United defeated Kaaro Karungi 1-0 at Kyabazinga Stadium Bugembe thanks to Deo Isejja for the winning goal.

Struggling Kyetume lost 1-0 to Ndejje University FC at Nakisunga grounds in Mukono.

Ndejje University FC’s goal was scored by Kipper Luwalo hence completing a double against the Slaughters.
