The 2025 Pookino Cup officially kicked off in Buddu, featuring three exciting matches that showcased the skills of local teams from six Sub Counties.

The competition began with a 1-1 draw between Mutuba V Kakuuto and Mutuba XIX Kasasa. George Mpaire and Lawrence Mutunzi scored a goal each for their respective teams.

In the second match, Mutuba V Kakuuto dominated Mutuba IV Kyebe, securing a resounding 4-0 victory.

Kirabo Joshua, Fahad Bukenya, and Ashiraf Mugweri, who scored twice, contributed to the winning team’s tally.

The third match of the day saw Mutuba XIX Kasasa humiliate Mutuba IV Kyebe 5-0.

Gibson Kabuye, Vianey Kalinzi, and Richard Tumusiime each scored a goal, while Alex Kizza netted a brace to seal the victory for Mutuba XIX Kasasa.

The results of the matches determined that Mutuba XIX Kasasa and Mutuba V Kakuuto have qualified for the next round of the competition.
