At a prestigious ceremony held at Finance Trust Bank’s Kampala offices, St. Noa Girls Football Club’s head coach, Jimmy Kintu, and She Geme’s forward, Shivan Ashaba, were bestowed with the esteemed Coach and Player of the Month awards for November.

Kintu’s team demonstrated exceptional prowess, maintaining an unblemished record throughout November, with five consecutive wins.

“I’m thrilled to be here today to receive this Coach of the Month award.

First and foremost, I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Finance Trust Bank for recognizing our team’s hard work and dedication.

This award is not just a personal honor, but also a testament to the collective efforts of my team.

I’d like to thank my players, staff, and everyone involved in Senoa Girls for their tireless efforts.

Achieving an unbeaten record in the first round is no easy feat, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished.

This award serves as a motivation for us to continue working hard and striving for excellence.

Our goal is to qualify for the next level, and we’re committed to putting in the same level of effort and dedication in the second round.

Thank you once again to Finance Trust Bank for this recognition. We’re grateful for your support, and we look forward to continuing to make you proud.” Jimmy Kintu Mwere.

Notably, St. Noa GFC scored an impressive eight goals without conceding any, a testament to their defensive solidity.

Kintu, a soft-spoken tactician, had recently completed a six-month CAF Diploma coaching course at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru, alongside 23 other coaches.

Under Kintu’s guidance, St. Noa GFC has enjoyed an outstanding first round in the Finance Trust Women Elite League, accumulating 18 points from six matches while maintaining a clean sheet.

Furthermore, Kintu led the St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana U15 side to victory in the CAF Schools Championship, securing a substantial prize of $100,000 for the school.

Meanwhile, Ashaba’s impressive performance, scoring five goals in as many matches, earned her the distinction of November’s top scorer in the Elite League.

Both Kintu and Ashaba received a cash prize of UGX 250,000 and a commemorative plaque from Finance Trust Bank, marking a significant milestone in promoting women’s football in Uganda.
